Property Tax Protest

Retainer as part of contingency.

For us to start on your protest, we require a $200 (refundable) retainer. This retainer will be deducted from our contingency fee of 40% of Gross Tax Reduction* The retainer fee of $200. is due with the Representation Agreement. *Gross Tax Reduction: The total of reduction in appraised value times the estimated tax rates for that year. If the current year’s tax rates are unavailable, the previous year’s tax rate will be used for purposes of the fee calculation. Penalties, interest, fees and other charges imposed by the taxing authorities are the sole responsibility of the Owner and do not reduce the Gross Tax Reduction achieved by Property Tax Consultants on the Owner’s behalf.
